I am a native of this county, raised with the understanding that hard work and community are the foundations of success. Growing up in a family of educators, I learned early on that a strong school system is the backbone of a thriving rural economy.
As a student, I took education seriously and excelled in all courses through high school and college (Frostburg State). I was active in many extracurricular activities and worked a construction job over the summers.
After graduating with my Master's Degree in Computer Science, I was a teacher at Frostburg State University, which gave me an opportunity to see some of the unique challenges our students face. I now work as a software engineer and use the skills I learned in our schools on a daily basis.
